DJ Colleen Shannon Exclusive Interview for EDMDroid Asia

1. Please tell us and our readers more about the nightlife in the US in general in times of Covid, specially in your home town.

The nightclubs are just starting up again. Of fact I’m going to a Playboy NFT party in New York inA few days in Arizona where I live many of the people just continue to live regular lives. Although just recently I’ve realized over 60% of my friends or somebody they know has had Covid I’m not quite sure what to think about it I’m quite skeptical to be honest I don’t. I don’t know how I feel about the vaccine.

2. How long have you been DJing and what can we expect next from DJ Colleen Shannon?

I have been teaching since 2000 so that makes exactly 21 years. I’ve developed a DJ boy cartoon book, inspired by Dr. Seuss. I am producing a single that should be out in 2022. I kind of want to keep it a surprise of who the featured artist is but it is going to be fire. I am also writing a memoir. I am starting to do more and more photo shoots again. I’m getting all new DJ equipment. Right now for some reason I am feeling more inspired than I have been in quite some time.

3. What has been your best and your worst gig experience so far. Be honest please, don't hold back.

The best DJ show would have been all of the shows I played at the Playboy mansion. Moving to Los Angeles I had two goals one was to become a playmate and the other to become the worlds greatest female DJ. I went time went to the mansion and I thought if I could only DJ here all of my dreams will be coming true. The worst job I had was in this past year I hadn’t been djing in quite some time because of Covid, I got all the stuff and put tons of new music on my computer to play it overloaded my computer, it froze up at Soundcheck and they had rented a hall out in Texas. They canceled the show due to the fact that my computer had been frozen and was uploading for it had said 21 hours my computer would be frozen. I went back to my hotel I ate a pizza and I watched a movie and said c’est la vie.
