DJ Puinam Exclusive Interview for EDMDroid Asia

1. Please tell us and our readers more about the nightlife in Macau right now in times of Covid.

I have to say the Macau government has been doing such a great job monitoring measures for Covid! So, needless to say, Macau is very safe at the moment, and nightlife in Macau is as lively as before. Since everyone tends to stay in Macau and not going on vacations due to Covid, somehow nightclubs in Macau becomes an even more appealing option.

2. How long have you been DJing/Producing/Modeling and what can we expect next from DJ PUINAM?

It’s been 6 months since my official debut as DJ, but before that I spent 2 years to learn the techniques. I started producing 3 years ago, and started modeling when I was 18. In the coming future, my team and I will strive to work on producing more original singles and albums. So stay tuned guys!

3. What has been your best and your worst gig experience so far. Be honest please.

Messing up musical routines and forgetting lyrics on stage are definitely my worst experience so far, because it was so embarrassing, my adrenaline definitely rocketed at the time! For best experience, I would say seeing my crowd grooving and dancing along with my beats is super satisfying and rewarding!

4. If you had to choose, which profession would you be going with? DJ, or something else?

Tricky question! I would say I enjoy being both artist and DJ, because these two identities are complimentary, and they empower me to be a more well-rounded public figure.

5. Top 3 tracks at the moment?

My Top 2 would definitely be our Remix Cover of “Love Me Don’t Go” and “Summer Breeze”! Other than that, Lullaby by R3hab has been on a loop in my playlist!
