Natalia Moon Exclusive Interview for EDMDroid Asia

1. Please tell us and our readers more about the nightlife in the US right now in times of Covid, specially in your homebase Las Vegas?

I have now moved to Vegas I absolutely love here. I have set up my studio and practise rooms and it’s just amazing to be able to get things going. For awhile I was a bit stuck and unsure what to do but I made a big change to move from la and it really made a difference. Keeping motivated during COVID was hard as everyone had to deal with it. I think that it was a good test because during that time it really made me think what’s important to me and what is it that I enjoy most doing. Life is short and you have to have fun and really enjoy what your doing or it’s best to take a different direction. I really wrote a lot of songs during COVID as I also had some family tragedies which was extremely hard. Being a musician it’s very important to use music to help other people but also it helped me to get through a lot of hard times writing songs.

2. How long have you been DJing & Producing and what can we expect next from you?

Hey guys I have been djing for 6 years and about 3 years learning producing , I am really developing my sound. I have some remakes coming out ‘Would I lie’ and ‘Somebody’s summer’ mashup which I am also the vocalist and producer. I have really been trying to get songs going to have an entertaining show with vocals, live beats and remixes.

I have alot of tracks coming out ! Keeping with my roots of Edm but moving more into bass house and then some Brazilian vibes.

3. What has been your best and your worst gig experience so far. Be honest please, don't hold back.

My worst gig would be one I did at the very start I was actually sabotaged by a male dj. He infact swapped the rca chords around so the music was swapped on each side , it was very confusing the music was all over the place and I kept pressing the wrong one to stop . From that moment on I learnt everything about the equipment and I have a check list on each show before I start. He was a bit sad being a dj for 15 years and a new female dj was the headliner. To be honest I didn’t even know I was the headliner til I arrived and saw the poster. A lesson learned here learn your craft and learn how to setup your equipment well.

My best gig would be one in Laos I had a lot of people there for a festival. I sang live and really enjoyed the festival vibes. No one spoke English so I had a translator haha. I was on tour and this show just stood out to me.

4. If you had to choose, which profession would you be going with? DJ or something else? We read you are a broker too?

Well that’s a tough one I have really been doing all for so many years. Actually in the Philippines I was a television star with a sitcom and drama series and I would also tour inbetween episodes. I also sang for alot of events. To be honest I love singing and I am now working on my popstar career as well. I would say I can’t really choose because they alternate and give me constant work. But I love sitting in my studio making music 🎼.

5. Top 3 tracks at the moment?

Your body - Valentino Khan
De la ghetto
Would I lie - My new track 🙂 coming out haha

6. With which intl. act would you love to collaborate with and why?

I would love to collab with Valentino khan I love his beats I would say I have a similar style in taste of music the low frequencies sexy vibes . I love Calvin Harris he has been my fav producer for years, I would love to sing and producer with him.

7. Are you keen on cooking up an exclusive mix for us and our readers ? (60min)
