DJ Cookie Exclusive Interview for EDMDroid Asia
1. Please tell us and our readers more about the nightlife in Taiwan right now and most specifically in your hometown Taipei in times of Covid.
We are glad everything all fine inside of Taiwan. But it is hard for us to go out of the country for traveling at this moment. And inside of country so far all good, everybody keeps safe. I thought our government made the right decision at began, that is why we can keep life normal and keep party keeps living like nothing happened everybody happy here. I'm sorry to say that. But some people just told me if now we live inside here if we don't out of the country or not to see other country news... seem like already over of covid here...but I knew the world still going on and I hope this will be end soon to everybody.2. How long have you been DJing/Producing and what can we expect next from DJ COOKIE?
I have been to DJing already almost 20 years, but start to producing is like 12 years. I am planning to make other new music album for next year, but still a lot to going on. I wish can make it happen in 2021 spring time.
3. What has been your best and your worst gig experience so far? Be honest please.
This is difficult to say which is best or worst. when I djing around the world and always give me different feeling and vibes of culture, its kind like different from the country of people. But even we are speaking a different language, the powerful thing is music. we link everyone all together. that is such an amazing feeling and best for me.
And I can't know what is "worst" for me. I won't say "worst", because I will call that is a challenge for me, not worst. Maybe some place is not professional at all. And sometimes equipment can be wrong or something happen but if can fix up before my show on .. everything all ok for me. and so far haven't worst gig experience in my 20 years Dj life :)
4. If you had to choose, which profession would you be going with? DJ, or something else?
I think I still will do the same. I haven't think about others. Oh no, maybe I can do a lighting program or vision but everything all still need around the music. I think I born this way, my life can't be far from the music.5. Top 3 tracks at the moment?
Difficult so many tracks in my mind .... Top 1- I go for a classic track from daft punk . one more time. Top 2 - classic track underworld "born slippy" and recently my favorite one is my remix call "thank you"6. With which intl. act would you love to collaborate and why?
I would love to collaborate with some cool and especially singer, and if make a track with other DJs I'm always open for this. Because sometimes 2 people or 3 or 4 everybody has own personality so music idea will be different as well but I'm sure to end of the track will be cool. So I'm always .. happy to collaborate with some interesting person.6. With which intl. act would you love to collaborate and why?
It’s a far far far off dream, but of all the artists I would love to work with (and there are SO MANY), dare I say — Skrillex! The spirit, nostalgia, and poignant freedom he puts in all of his music, coupled with his killer technical skill, is painfully beautiful. The magical thing about it is listening to any genre of his music is like opening a window into your past, but at the same time it could be your present - you just know you’ve experienced it. It speaks to you. He bottles it up. A core memory!

WORK MY NEW MUSIC Album . I wish can make it on next spring 202.
