Ian Sndrz Exclusive Interview for EDMDroid Asia

1. Please tell us and our readers more about the nightlife in the Philippines right now in times of Covid, especially in your hometown of Manila.

The nightlife scene here in Manila has been BOOMING and is back to normal but crazier! People party up to 8am only because Covid vaccines are part of the menu haha! ‘Just kidding’ But yes the nightlife is back and most of the bars/clubs are open 7 days a week. This is really good for us DJs. The nightlife scene is amazing and people really know how to party hard!

2. How long have you been DJing & Producing and what can we expect next from you?

I’ve been a DJ for 14 years and a Producer for 12 Years. Well you can expect new music in the coming months, A few radio show guestings and I’m actually preparing for the biggest gig of my career coming in soon, Can’t wait to announce it

3. What has been your best and your worst gig experience so far. Be honest please, don't hold back.

The best gig of my career was when I had to close for Hardwell. The amount of preparation I did and how nerve racking it was to perform after Hardwell that was an unforgettable moment!

And for the worst, well I wouldn’t say worse but it’s probably my most embarrassing moment. It was a few years ago at Club Haze, Friday Anthems. Normally during Friday Anthems we have our gimmick of doing themes per night and on that specific night we chose to do a House Wife/Mom gimmick. So we had to wear this Duster dress, Shower caps and obnoxious make up which made the whole thing super funny. During the set when things were at the peak of the night we were all jumping on stage and raving right? Johnpaul Lee told me to stand up at the DJs booth and rave the crowd; so I did. I got up at the DJs booth and started raving, while I was up there Johnpaul Lee decided to lift up my dress and expose me in my underwear hahaha! While it was quite embarrassing it made a funny and unforgettable moment.

4. If you had to choose, which profession would you be going with? DJ or something else? We read you are a broker too?

Music has always been my first love. Growing up I took piano lessons, played in a band in High-school then the DJ career took off not long after; and if I were to choose it would be the profession I have today. But if I hadn’t been a DJ I would have chosen to be a Pilot.
