DJ Nicole Chen Exclusive Interview for EDMDroid Asia

1. Please tell us and our readers more about the nightlife in Singapore right now and most specifically in times of Covid.

Singapore is very vibrate now with their nightlife. Everything is open and alot of djs have been flying in and event company lsg and hot entertainment have been throwing parties after the restrictions have been lifted. During covid everything was shut and it was a dead town.



2. How long have you been DJing/Producing and what can we expect next from you?

I've been dj for almost 13 years now. As for producing probably 5 years ago but always learning from several producers and all. What we can expect is that we will be doing an album for my tracks with interesting collabs and solo.




3. What has been your best and your worst gig experience so far. Be honest please.

My best gig so far was actually borneo music festival after the covid, the vibe was amazing! And amber lounge world cup for their after party was amazing.
There isnt a worst gig for sure. Everything seems perfect for me as ill turn a place from nothing to pumping up all about the positive energy.



4. If you had to choose, which profession would you be going with? DJ, actress/model or something else?

I will still stick to dj as creativity through music just comes to natural for me and i use my emotions to do what i do best. Or maybe after turn into an actress who knows?



5. Top 3 tracks at the moment?

My mash up bloody marry that came in number 1 on hypedit hard dance. My own song everybody. And the remix of bloody marry.



6. With which intl. act would you love to collaborate with and why?

I would love to collab with dinmitris and vegas i just love their style. Of music

7. Are you keen on cooking up an exclusive mix for us and our readers ? (60min)

8. We have a huge water festival on 14th January and its gonna be epic in Singapore.






9. What are your work related plans for 2023 and your career?

We will be producing more music, Creating more content. Working with more festivals.



10. You were Ms Singapore Runner Up? Which year was that and how did you make the transition from Model to professional Dj happen?

I was Miss Earth 2007. Then i was trainig actress and singing but in the end i went to learn dj in several countries. One in Melbourne and New york and then thats when i started my first gig. Playing in a bar in Singapore then within 3 months i was sent to tokyo to already dj and after i open for names like steve aoki and benny benassi in Phuket and so on.
